What's new

The latest updates to cozy job tracker.

improvement

๐Ÿ”งA sturdier, safer cozy job tracker

A big under-the-hood pass. Nothing new to learn โ€” things just work the way you'd expect now.

  • Edits from two tabs (or the web and the extension) no longer overwrite each other
  • Editing a link in the table view works again, and typing no longer loses your place
  • Dropdown values can be cleared, and imported spreadsheet dates display properly
  • Big sheet imports tell you when only the first 200 rows came through
  • The feedback form opens reliably from the header menus
  • Clearer error messages when something can't be saved, instead of quietly reverting
  • Rate limits on parsing and sign-in, and tighter checks on outside links

Spot something off? The feedback button is always there.

๐ŸงนOld /b/ boards retired

The link-based boards from before accounts existed are gone โ€” everyone's on email sign-in now, and the old boards had been idle for months. If you had one and still want the data, send me a note through the feedback button and I'll dig it out.

๐Ÿ“‹Board view for jobs

A new way to see your job pipeline. The board view shows your jobs as a kanban board with columns for each status โ€” Saved, Applied, Interview, Offer, and Rejected.

  • Drag and drop jobs between columns to update their status
  • Click any card to open a detail panel with all your fields and custom columns
  • Edit everything inline without leaving the board view
  • Custom column values show as tags right on the cards

๐ŸคProfessional network tab

I got some great feedback from a few users that their job search spreadsheet had a people tab too. Recruiters, old coworkers, friends at companies you're interested in. cozy job tracker couldn't really replace that sheet until it could track people. The new Network tab can:

  • Track contacts with name, company, title, LinkedIn, and status
  • Add custom columns like you can on the Job board
  • Import from Google Sheets with auto-detected column mapping
  • Inline editing, drag-and-drop columns, search, and multi-sort
  • Link people to jobs on your board

This is in beta and I'll be refining it and adding more. Let me know what's missing!

๐Ÿค–AI chat integration

You can now connect your board to the AI assistant of your choice โ€” I recommend Claude. Manage your jobs right from a chat. Try things like "what jobs have I applied to?" or "add a barista role at Cosmic Cat Cafe". Set it up in settings โ†’

๐ŸงฉChrome extension

Save job postings to your board without leaving the page. Just click the extension icon, hit "Add to board", and the job title, company, location, and details are parsed and saved automatically. Get it on the Chrome Web Store โ†’

๐Ÿ”€Multi-column sorting

Sort your board by multiple columns at once โ€” including custom columns. Stack sort rules to dial in exactly the order you want โ€” like company Aโ€“Z, then date applied newest first.

๐Ÿ”‘Email accounts

Sign in with your email to get a personal board tied to your account. No password needed โ€” just a magic link.

๐Ÿ“ฆBulk job import

Paste up to 50 job URLs and import them all at once. No more adding jobs one by one โ€” just paste, review, and go.

๐ŸŒฑcozy job tracker launched!

Your cozy corner of the internet for tracking job applications. Create a board, paste a URL, and you're off.
